  About Us!

Symmetrical Energy Arts, Inc (SEA), is a Pilates and General Movement Studio located at 37 Centre Ave., Topton, PA.

The intention of SEA is to offer an alternative means to wellness through movement. Movement is essential to life, and learning more effective movement patterns is beneficial to every aspect of our lives.

Our preferred foundation of movement is Pilates (derived from Contrology developed by Joseph H. Pilates.) Pilates is a functional biomechanically sound form of exercise and rehabilitation whose fundamentals and basic movements are principally linear and incorporate a variety of challenging principles and fundamentals.

Somatic Integration through Pilates takes the groundwork of Pilates and progresses to offer different perspectives on movement as a whole, drawing from a variety of somatic disciplines to achieve the most desirable results for each individual.

Elizabeth "Betsy" Wetzig, the founder of Coordination Patterns™ Training shares the SEA studio. Betsy has been a movement researcher for over 30 years and we are pleased to have her in our studio.

Thank you for visiting our online Studio!

Thoughts and Ideas:

"Contrology is complete coordination of body, mind, and spirit. Contrology develops the body uniformly, corrects wrong postures, restores physical vitality, invigorates the mind, and elevates the spirit."- Joseph Pilates

Pilates believed that the natural grace, vigor, and normal physical development we enjoy as children is lost as we mature due to our over-worked, under-nourished lifestyles, and a result of not having a uniformly developed musculature. He believed that Contrology could return us to the qualities of youth through persistence and practice of a method of physical conditioning that leaves the body feeling revitalized, not tired and sore.
