A brief description of the services provided in the Symmetrical Energy Arts Studio during an Individual Session appears below. Each session is designed to enhance your Pilates experience no matter at what level you may be participating. Individual Sessions are offered on the apparatus and in special one-on-one mat lessons.

An Individual Session (Private or Duo) is the ideal way to learn Pilates. You will have the opportunity to experience supported and challenging corrective exercise on the Pilates Apparatus with the movement practitioner’s undivided attention. Learn the fundamentals, principles and exercises in great detail tailored specifically to your movement style. The Pilates Apparatus provides assistance and resistance through spring tension and unique design, while one-on-one or one-on-two instruction allows you to explore your patterns of movement and gain an understanding of how to use the least amount of effort possible in motion.   

 For individuals who are using Pilates specifically for rehabilitation, chronic pain or other specific issues Individual Sessions are the preferred and recommended choice.

These are the words of Joseph H. Pilates. Pilates believed in perseverance and self-discipline to attain each individual’s version of their ideal body, not only superficially but in function and reliability as well. Time and effort spent in pursuit of this goal is an important aspect of the method. Purchasing books, videos and even classes and sessions is not advantageous without the perseverance to commit to a practice or regimen.
