Testimonials

Pilates can have a dramatic effect on the body and on the mental
attitude with which we pursue our wellness goals as illustrated by
the testimonials below. |

"I have never enjoyed exercise, going
to a gym or stayed with an exercise program longer than a few months.
Classes at SEA are small, non-intimidating, convenient and energizing.
As a 54 year old woman, I can feel the increasing strength, flexibility,
and balance I am achieving. Tracey works with you at your starting
point, and guides you to increasingly difficult moves. Each class is
different with none of the boring repetitive routine of other workouts.
I see myself continuing Pilates training at SEA for a very long time" |

"I had tried other Pilates teachers
before Tracey. They were all good, but none came close to the
level of expertise and dedication shown by Tracey. She is adamant that
each person in the class do the exercises properly. I'd been doing
Pilates for over 2 years prior to joining her class, but without knowing it I was "cheating" on
every exercise. Tracey showed me exactly how
to isolate the right muscles, how to tell what was actually going
on. She is phenomenal." |

"Tracey's classes are fun and relaxed, and she always
makes it interesting. After only a couple months, I began feeling looser,
longer and leaner. I feel healthier overall...better than I ever felt
coming out of a gym or health club. I've lost weight, regained confidence in
my body, and I just feel great!" |

"I
feel compelled to share how Tracey's Pilates classes and the
Coordinated Pattern Training therapy with Elizabeth Wetzig have been
transforming experiences in my continuing journey of healing and hope. I
am a survivor of traumatic brain injury. My accident also rendered me with
a broken shoulder, occipital fracture, broken ribs, sheered neck, extruded
lumbar disk and an orbital roof fracture. Given the extent of such
injuries to both body and brain, chronic pain and numerous physical,
mental and emotional disabilities have become my living nightmare. All
seemed hopeless, but through human intervention and divine guidance borne
of a strong Christian* faith, I was directed to the sources of my
restoration. I stand and now walk as a living example of Thomas Kinkade's
maxim, "when you live in the light of unfolding miracles, there is always
a future, always a hope." Both the Integrated Somatics through Pilates and
the Wetzig Coordination Pattern therapy have been instrumental in reviving
my mind/body/spirit integration. Both use the inter-relationship between
all the body systems throughout their treatment processes - a body/mind
approach. I now walk without my cane and no longer stumble. My strength,
balance, flexibility, kinesthetic sense and freedom of movement are being
awakened. "He who brings hope brings leadership." Tracey's Pilates and
Elizabeth's Coordinated Pattern Training have stepped in when the present
medical establishment failed to provide the neuro-rehabilitation I so
desperately needed. I applaud Tracey and Elizabeth for their roles in
transforming my disability problems into healing solutions!"

“For the past 4 years I have
been studying Pilates with Tracey first as a student and now as an apprentice
teacher. As a college student I sat for many hours in class and in front
of the computer and therefore I had terrible posture. Through Tracey’s
unique technique of combining Pilates with various movement therapies, I was
able to lengthen and strengthen my entire body and a result I literally grew
an inch taller.”
