“I have been searching for a good exercise program for a long time, and only recently found one right in my own back yard. I have driven past the Pilates Studio may times not knowing what it was all about. One day I decided to take a look and talk to someone, and I am so glad I did. Tracey knew exactly how to help me. I have arthritis and spinal stenosis. I had no strength in my lower body and a hard time getting out of a chair, my legs had very little strength in them. About two years ago I was able to walk 3miles, but right before starting Pilates I could no longer go for long walks. Thanks to Tracey I am able to go for longer walks again. I love Tracey’s Pilates Studio. I was so nervous to go the first time because I had attempted Pilates/Yoga classes at the gym and people weren’t necessarily the friendliest (including the instructor). From the moment I started at the studio, Tracey did a great job of introducing me to the moves and positions and later challenging me as I’ve progressed. The other participants are super-friendly and made me feel welcome. My posture and flexibility have improved dramatically since starting Pilates; my husband’s not complaining either ;!) I am not the easiest person to motivate to go to a gym and workout, but I definitely look forward to going to Tracey’s studio each week.

There is never enough time to devote to the things that are really good for us that require work, and that we aren’t paid for. We all have good intentions for our physical and mental well-being and maybe occasionally we act upon them, but not in the manner that will give us the results we want. Pilates was speaking of the uniform development of the entire body, to include keeping all of the organs as close to their normal natural condition as possible. To be able not only to work more proficiently, but also to have sufficient energy in the evenings to relax and engage in other recreational activities with passion and enthusiasm.
