Thoughts and Ideas:

"Study carefully, do not sacrifice knowledge to speed in building your solid exercise regime on the foundation of Contrology."/ "Patience and Persistence are vital qualities in the ultimate successful accomplishment of any worthwhile endeavor." - Joseph Pilates

Pilates is not a form of movement which can be mastered quickly or easily, even professional dancers and athletes find themselves in the same position as other beginners to this method. This is because Pilates requires something of the body that is easy to elude in other forms of physicality. Take the time to fully understand your movement patterns through the fundamentals and beginner exercises. Completely master one exercise before moving on to the next. Although this may take some extra time and may not be as exciting as trying more challenging exercises right away, it is extremely important. You will realize in the more advanced levels, that your body is completely prepared to withstand the difficulty of the complex exercises with grace, control, centeredness, concentration, fluidity, correct breathing techniques and precision. Pilates is involved and requires commitment and practice and a reasonable amount of time. Not much that comes too quickly or easily is of fortitude or desire.
